The vast majority of "Kess V2" units sold on eBay, Amazon, or AliExpress are clones (Chinese replicas). Original Alientech units cost upwards of €1,500, while clones cost between $70 and $200. Genuine units auto-update via the internet. Clones cannot update past a certain point without bricking. Version 2.53 is the last stable version that works flawlessly with 99% of clone hardware.
