Join XForce-focused Discord servers or Telegram groups. The scene constantly updates their lock algorithms. As of this writing, version 4.0 of the XForce protocol just dropped, which adds quantum-resistant encryption. When that happens, a new "how to open exclusive" guide will be needed. But for now, the methods above remain the gold standard. Disclaimer: This article is for educational and archival purposes only. Opening exclusive files you do not own or have permission to access may violate computer fraud laws in your jurisdiction. Always respect software licenses and copyright. Do not double-click. Open HxD first, then drag the file in.
Rename the file extension from .xfn or .nfo to .xforce (this is a common misdirection used by releasers to avoid DMCA crawlers).
Open XForce_Proxy.exe as Administrator. Do not touch the GUI yet.
To create an exclusive container, the XForce SDK allows you to bundle any folder into a locked .xfn file using this command:
Copy your exclusive XForceNFO into the VM. Do not use the proxy. Instead, use the original XForce_Viewer.exe (version 1.2, included in some scene releases).
Drag your filename.xforce directly onto the proxy window. The proxy will decrypt the outer shell. You will see a command prompt flash—this is the NFO ASCII header decompressing.
